In 2004, at the age of 17, I signed in at The United States Military Academy at West Point, NY. I graduated with honors and commissioned as a Military Police Officer in 2008, and then deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2009 as a Platoon Leader. When I returned to the United States, I served in multiple leadership and operational roles, including one role where I planned and coordinated training and logistical preparation for a multi-state federal emergency response task force.

By 2012, I was in law school at the University of Southern California. I refined my written and oral advocacy skills in moot court where I was the 2014 American College of Trial Lawyers’ Winner of the Medal for Excellence in Oral Advocacy and a Finalist in the 65th Annual National Moot Court Competition. During this time, I also participated in peaceful protests against the murders of Trayvon Martin and Michael Brown.

After graduating in 2015 and passing the Texas bar exam, I gained invaluable experience in administrative law, criminal litigation at the trial and appellate levels, federal tort litigation, and federal tort claims. I achieved excellent results as a practitioner, including a 90% success rate as an appellate attorney and successful settlement and defense of multi-million-dollar lawsuits. I also meaningfully collaborated with and led multiple legal teams.

With the skills, competencies, and fortitude I’ve developed over the past two decades, I’m ready to accomplish a new mission.
