22 Years to Here

In 2004, at the age of 17, I signed in at The United States Military Academy at West Point, NY. I graduated with honors and commissioned as a Military Police Officer in 2008 and deployed in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2009. I then returned to the United States and served in a variety of leadership and operational roles, including one role where I planned and executed training for a federal emergency response task force.

By 2012, I was in law school at the University of Southern California. I refined my written and oral advocacy skills in moot court where I was a Finalist in the 65th Annual National Moot Court Competition and the 2014 American College of Trial Lawyers’ Winner of the Medal for Excellence in Oral Advocacy. At this time, I also participated in peaceful protests against the murder of Trayvon Martin.

After graduating in 2015 and passing the Texas bar exam, I gained invaluable experience in administrative law, criminal litigation at the trial and appellate levels, federal tort litigation, and administrative tort claims. I led teams and achieved excellent results as a practitioner, boasting a 90% success rate as an appellate attorney and successfully negotiating multi-million-dollar tort settlements.

With the skills, experiences, and fortitude I’ve developed over the past two decades, I’m ready to step forward and apply my passion and compassion to a new mission.
